Responsible jewellry

Wild Fawn was created in 2015 by Emma Barnes. It is very important for Emma to know the origin of the materials she uses, since the extraction of metals and precious metals often causes pain and sufferings. It is precisely for this reason that Wild Fawn uses only recycled silver and Fairtrade certified gold, creating in this way jewellery that can be worn with a clear conscience.

Buying fair gold means supporting the miners, their families and the community, investing in social projects such as new schools, health care and above all ensuring that they are able to independently build a dignified future.

Emma’s mission is to spread sustainable and ethical practices that do not have a negative impact on the earth and the communities.

Browsing the Wild Fawn site, every ring, bracelet, earring or necklace you meet is just amazing. I must also admit that I am a lover of silver: easy to clean, beautifully bright, it does not fear small scratches that indeed, enhance a lived and beloved jewel. So, you will understand how difficult it was for me to choose the jewel to buy, with the result that I went over my budget … here are the jewels I chose: a necklace with a geometric pendant, a pair of dangling earrings and other small earrings, which are my favourites!

After receiving the order confirmation email, I waited just more than 2 weeks before receiving a second email informing me of the shipping of my package. Do you think it is a long time? Not at all, considering that the brand produces its own jewelry to order, thus avoiding overproduction. And do you know what? To think that those jewels have been made especially for me, makes them even more special! The shipment to Italy (Milan) cost £5.

The packaging, in line with the brand philosophy, is made of recycled and very pretty cardboard! Inside a cardboard envelope, the little box branded Wild Fawn contained a tissue paper with wrapped jewels and dried flower petals.

Back to the jewels, I am really satisfied and I use them every day. In particular, the “geometric thread-through earrings” are very light and you can decide their length! Fabulous are also the “hammered ear crawlers”: the earring surface is irregular, creating a beautiful effect of lights and shadows.

Small warnings: the “hammered ear crawlers” – I had to bend them a little on the bottom, to make them follow the shape of my lobe. The “long minimal bar studs” – they don’t remain exactly upright, but rather diagonally towards the face.

If you too are looking for minimal, ethical and sustainable silver jewelry to wear every day, I highly recommend this brand!
